Last year COHPA was contacted by hundreds of companies who were looking for assistance in finding an Occupational Health Provider. These companies ranged from sole traders employing 1 or 2 staff only, up to large corporations employing tens of thousands.

The sizes of organisations that enquired directly with the office (as opposed to via the website etc) breaks down as:

• 40% - companies with under 100 employees
• 36% - companies with 101 - 500 employees
• 24% - companies with over 501 employees

These figures do not include those who used the website and our list of members to assist them, at present we only have statistics for those companies that contacted us directly.

• Last year there were 200,000 reported injuries (over three-day absense)

• 1.2 million people who worked during last year were suffering from an illness (long standing as well as new cases) they believed was caused or made worse by their current or past work.
