- Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE):
Areas of interest are occupational health including manual handling, ergonomic assessment, VDU assessments, rehabilitation, work hardening and risk management. - The Association of Occupational Health Nurse Practitioners (AOHNP- UK): A professional organisation comprising a group of occupational health nurse practitioners. The Association was founded in 1992 to increase representation and raise the profile of occupational health nurses.
- British Medical Association (BMA): Through its Occupational Health Committee, publishes recommended rates of pay for Occupational Physicians and ethical documents. Its principal role is as the Trade Union for Occupational Physicians.
- The British Occupational Health Research Foundation (BOHRF): Non-profit making, grant awarding charity established in 1991 to contribute to the best possible physical and mental well-being of employees.
- Department of Health:
- Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM): Undertakes some statutory tasks in terms of Professional Qualification of Occupational Physicians. It has a five-year plan of professional developments.

- The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, (IOSH): An independent, not-for-profit organisation, the Institution regulates and steers the profession, maintaining standards and providing impartial, authoritative guidance on health and safety issues.

- Professional Organisations in Occupational Safety and Health (POOSH): POOSH exists to promote the continuous improvement of the practice of occupational safety and health through education, communication and the encouragement of cooperation between all persons and agencies involved in the provision of a healthy and safe working environment.
- Royal College of Nursing (RCN): The Trade Union for Nurses (though some will be represented by UNISON) 'The RCN represents nurses and nursing, promotes excellence in practice and shapes health policies.'
- Scotland advice line:
- Society of Occupational Health Nurses (SOHN): An offshoot of the Royal College of Nursing, with many affiliated local groups. The activities are of individual professional development of nurses.
- Society of Occupational Medicine (SOM): Delivers Continuous Professional Development and runs a job-matching scheme. It has a Concordat with the Faculty so that their activities do not overlap. The Society publishes a marketing document 'Managing the Health of Your Business'
